Merri Seegrist

Merri brings a compassionate and holistic approach to counseling. With a Master’s degree in Social Work and a Bachelor’s degree in Family Studies, she is uniquely qualified to address a wide range of issues.

Merri believes that our behaviors are often rooted in past traumatic events or responses to current situations. She provides a shame-free and compassionate environment to help clients cope and reframe their perspectives. Merri focuses on teaching healthy boundaries and fostering self-compassion to promote healing and restore peace.

Her extensive credentials include being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a nationally certified Paramedic/Paramedic Instructor/Firefighter, and certifications in EMDR, ACT therapy, and TBRI. Merri is also a certified Strengthening Families instructor, a member of PSI Utah specializing in Perinatal Mood Disorders, and certified in Gottman Level 1. She is trained in Internal Family Systems Theory and trauma work with first responders.
In her counseling practice, Merri works with individuals, couples, and families, including first responders, to address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, relationship difficulties, and more. Her goal is to help clients build the foundation for continued health, joy, and well-being.
